Google stalking reveals that he was the pastry chef at the Restaurant at Meadowood. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0895.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0895\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0895-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWoo poppies. I didn&#8217;t eat these. They were decoration.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0900.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0900\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0900-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nFenugreek spiced chicken liver, rye toast<br \/>\nI love liver. This liver had more of the &#8220;livery&#8221; odor than I&#8217;m used to tasting at western restaurants, but I really liked it. Also, more people should use fenugreek.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0912.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0912\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0912-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nImeretian Khachapuri, sourdough stuffed with cheese, adjika<br \/>\nNOM NOM NOM. I want to eat this everydayyyyy. I took a picture of the four spices together, like a small pizza, but it was a bad, blurry picture. So here&#8217;s a picture of the side oozing delicious cheese.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0923.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0923\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0923-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nBadrigani Nigvzit, spiced eggplant, walnuts and pomegranite<br \/>\nWhatever the green stuff inside the eggplant was, it was delicious. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0934.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0934\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0934-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nPxali, minced beet greens and walnuts, moped tone bread<br \/>\nI&#8217;m pretty sure it wasn&#8217;t beet greens, but beet roots. Delicious nonetheless for those of us who like beets. Could&#8217;ve been served with more bread though. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0940.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0940\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0940-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nYogurt with pickled chanterelles, shiso, sesame<br \/>\nWant moreeee. We all ended up licking our bowls clean for this one. Or using our fingers to get every last bit of the yogurt\/sesame\/shiso mixture. Chanterelles were easy to grab with a fork.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0949.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0949\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0949-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nMount Lassen Trout, blood orange and fennel, sea grapes<br \/>\nThis was a very orange trout. I wonder what it ate? Also a very well cooked trout. Just a smidge above rare, with a crispy skin. I wish it didn&#8217;t have bones though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0958.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSC_0958\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0958-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nDuck tabaka, pickled green alliums<br \/>\nDuck and green things. Less unique than the other dishes, but still very well executed. I like alliums, I might be biased.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0965.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-440\" alt=\"DSC_0965\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0965-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0965-500x331.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0965-624x413.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0965.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSpring lamb stsvadi gripped over grape vines, sour plum sauce<br \/>\nSoft chunks of tasty lamb with a sauce. I liked the smokey flavor, but Shamiq thinks it was under flavored. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0968.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-441\" alt=\"DSC_0968\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0968-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0968-500x331.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0968-624x413.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0968.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nHoney and coconut cake with milk jam<br \/>\nMilk jam == dulce de leche? The cake was good, but too sweet for my tastes. Probably my least favorite dish of the meal, but still not bad. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0978.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-442\" alt=\"DSC_0978\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0978-500x331.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"331\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0978-500x331.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0978-624x413.jpg 624w, http:\/\/www.raccoonstar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/DSC_0978.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAnd a second order of the khachapuri because it was so tasty. (And because Shamiq smiled nicely)<\/p>\n<p><strong>9 courses for $50 + tax <\/strong>(I thought pop-ups didn&#8217;t charge sales tax, but maybe that&#8217;s just in San Francisco?)<\/p>\n<p>The verdict? The food was great, but it felt like a series of starters. I was full enough by the end of the meal, but I didn&#8217;t feel like I&#8217;d eaten a whole meal as much as had a series of very tasty snacks.
